And The Excuser Returns
As you can probably tell from the title of this post, I have returned from Europe and there will be no FRs or LRs. Overall, the trip to Europe was fun and I got to see a lot of sights. A lot of things you would never see here in the US. It was a wonderful experience and I'm dying to go back to Europe. I would however change almost everything about my trip.
First, on my next trip to Europe, I HAVE to go with PUAs. Absolute MUST. Or at least someone/some people that will socialize. Going with an AFC/closet gay person/anti-socialite/someone-who-I-wanted-to-kill-by-the-end-of-the-trip did not really bode well for me and picking up women. Let's just say I'm glad I'm home so I won't have to see my travel companion for hopefully, at least a week or so.
Second, I wouldn't stay in the countryside again, no matter how beautiful it can be because there are venue issues and all of the hot women seem to reside in the major cities.
Third, I would go to different countries (well, I'd go back to Italy and the UK) and do more research before I went.
Anyway, I'll give a quick rundown of the places I visited if even for just a couple of hours (London).
Amsterdam - This was the first place I visited and I was expecting tall, hot blondes in droves. My expectations were never met. The airport is beautiful and the city is also beautiful, but another Sweden Amsterdam is not. Now, maybe I was just in the wrong part of the Netherlands, but there were little if any hot women here. I attribute it to the fact that Amsterdam is known for the Red Light district. Now, while Amsterdam is also known for its cafes, the fact that the Red Light district is so prominent seemed to make it a less attractive location for female tourists and females in general. On the other hand, the place was crawling with loud, obnoxious, drunken male Brits. Everywhere I went, it seemed that was all I ran into. However, the women I did see, attractive or not, did seem to look at me longer than back here in the States. Whether that's because they've never seen an Asian guy or because they have an Asian fetish, I didn't find out. Take it as you will. I wouldn't go back to Amsterdam to PU, but if I were a first time visitor to Europe, I'd definitely do a full day there to see the Heineken Brewery and maybe the Anne Frank house (I didn't think it was worth the Euros, but everyone else seemed to like it). Maybe I need to find some different cafes or bars in Amsterdam. Then I'd give it another try because the city could be a really fun city with non-hooker women.
Switzerland - Stayed in G'Staad. It's basically an Apline city that is like Aspen in that it's a really rich ski resort town. Seeing as we went in mid-May, the hotel and city were dead. There were only 50 people in the hotel and 48 of them were over the age of 50 (with me and my travel companion being the 2 that weren't for those slower people). The town is filled with lots of country bred Swiss. Thick women. Not exactly my type. And the next closest large city was 3 hours by train so it wasn't like I could GO to a city to do some PU. However, the women in G'Staad and on the train did give me the same looks as in Amsterdam, but again, I saw no reason to PU because 1) I didn't like the women in G'Staad and 2) I didn't see a reason to PU the women on the train since I was leaving Switzerland within hours. Hence, I saw enough of the Swiss and European countryside in G'Staad to last me a lifetime. I would NOT go back to Switzerland.
Italy - Definitely my favorite place that I visited for more than 2 hours. However, I again was staying in the countryside. Roma (Rome) is the closest major city and is 2 hours by train. Shitty, hot trains. So, going to Rome to PU was pretty much out of the question. I did get to go see the Vatican and St. Peter's in Rome the one day I was there, but we were so crunched for time that it was very difficult to do anything else. I'd definitely like to go back to Rome. The rest of the time was spent in the Italian countryside and in small Italian towns where they don't speak English and the girls are not attractive. However, again, as in the previous 2 locations, I got the same looks from almost all the girls I ran across and would again in London. That said, I would go back to Italy, but only to a large city like Rome. Well, I might go back to the countryside because the food is SO good there. =)
London - I was only here for a couple hours during my 5 hour layover between flights, but this was my favorite place in Europe even with the rain and the cold. London is just an awesome city and where I saw the hottest girls. They even seemed approachable and interested in talking to me. However, PU during a layover doesn't exactly lend much time to set up a proper PU so I did zero approaches just like on the rest of the trip (EXCUSER!!). I'd LOVE to go back to London.
In conclusion, when I make my next trip to Europe, it will have to be to Croatia (as recommended by OCWaterBoy), London, Rome, and Spain. There will be a lot more partying, less sightseeing, and less staying in the damn countryside. I'm so sick of the countryside. Maybe that's why I'm also so glad to be back (other than the fact I wanted to kill my travel associate). Civilization: It's nice to be where people are and namely, where the hot women are.
